What's social media?

Social media is an interactive technology used to create and express information or ideas. Users generate the content - be it text posts/comments, images, videos or even polls - on their accounts allowing them to connect with the larger network of other users.

Typically, social media can be accessed on most devices provided with an internet connection however certain applications such as Instagram or TikTok are primarily mobile-based and functions on a computer compared to a smartphone is limited.
